FAQs:
What is the Difference Between a Menstrual Disc and a Menstrual Cup?
- Some people refer to Nixit as a menstrual disc due to the fact that it does not use suction to stay in place and has a circular shape. Traditional menstrual cups are bell shaped and sit in your vagina, whereas Nixit sits in your vaginal fornix. We call Nixit a menstrual cup as menstrual cups collect your flow - it doesn't matter to us where they sit, but we are happy to be called a cup or a disc!
How Does it Work?
- Nixit sits underneath your cervix and collects your flow. At least every 12 hours, you remove your Nixit, empty the contents, wash it and then re-insert it.
Does the Nixit Leak?
- No, when inserted correctly, the Nixit menstrual cup should not leak. If you are experiencing leaking, try taking your Nixit menstrual cup out and reinserting, making sure it touches the back of your vaginal canal before ensuring that it is tucked up behind your pubic bone.
How Do I Change Nixit in a Public Toilet?
- The likelihood of you having to change your Nixit menstrual cup in public is small as it will last for up to 12 hours. If you are using a toilet without a sink, we recommend taking a small bottle of water in with you to rinse it, or wiping your Nixit menstrual cup clean with some toilet paper and re-insecting. A lot of customers keep an extra Nixit menstrual cup in their bag so that if they are caught out, they can replace their used Nixit menstrual cup with a clean one. Either way, you can give it a more thorough wash later when you get home.

A+ game changer
I'd honestly give this 10 stars out of 5 if I could. I tell all my friends, and sometimes just other random women about it (weirdo alert). I've been using my nixit cup for about a year and it's really a life changer. I never feel it when it's in place and it's really easy to put in and take out. I'll just note, that you do need to be comfortable with your body as it sits a bit higher inside. I like that it doesn't suction onto your insides, but also it never moves out of place. It's chemical and waste-free which is amazing, and I only have to remove/empty/wash every 12 hours. All night you get to sleep like normal and don't have to worry about leaks. All day you get to go along as normal (including going #1's, #2's, and sexy time)! I'm a lifetime user.

So comfortable
I was so excited to find a menstrual cup without a stem! Since I had my son everything has changed and my usual go-to cups became very uncomfortable. I think I still have a little learning to do, I had a few leaks with my first few attempts, but it is the most comfortable cup I’ve ever worn. The silicone is so soft and flexible. And I can rest easy knowing that I’m doing my part for the environment.
