Beefy Resilient Mix Bush Bean CO: A rich delicious beefy flavour from these small thin skinned shinning jewels. And they are beautiful, with their mix of hearty earth tone colours from black to tan to ochre and brown. Soaking them overnight brings out gorgeous shades of blues and purples and greens! We let them sit for an extra day after soaking just to enjoy the colours...seriously.
Growing tips: This productive running bush bean benefits from some support but will manage without. Bred for organic systems with strong genetics that will do well in all kinds of gardens and farms.

Beka Brown Bush Bean: Early and prolific golden brown bush dry bean. Beautiful colour! Great tasting baked bean.

Black Magic Kale CO: Also known as dinosaur kale - a beautiful variety with dark green, deeply ribbed leaves.

Coastal Star Romaine Lettuce: A sturdy upright romaine that stands green tall and tasty though all seasons on the coast. 65 days to maturity.

Summer Squash (Cocozelle Zucchini) CO: Lovely green and light green striped and smooth skinned fruit grace these productive plants. Cocozelle is more flavourful than regular green varieties. It is an heirloom variety known in Italy as Cocozella di Napoli; yet another amazing contribution to the vegetable world from Napoli! Harvest small for best taste and to keep the plants producing. 50-60 days to maturity.

Summer Squash (Dark Star Zucchini) CO: Cylindrical zukes with dark green skins on productive compact plants with spineless stalks. Prolific producer. Great vigor and produces well with minimal water. Developed in California. 55 days to maturity.

Flat of Egypt Beet CO: A heart-shaped beet with flat topped roots and sweet crimson flesh. Rapid growth and great for storage. Very old Egypt heirloom. Plant mid-late season direct. 50 days to maturity.

French Breakfast Radish CO: Heirloom variety. A market staple. Red radish with white tip. Oblong shape. Nice spicy flavor and easy to slice. Selected for strong green attachment to the root, easier to bunch. 25 days to maturity in Vancouver, BC.

Genovese Basil CO: This heirloom variety has large, shiny leaves and is excellent in all things Italian, especially pesto! This heat lover must be started early in a warm location and planted out when the soil has warmed in late May/early June. Pinch off growing tips to encourage plants to produce more. Plants will grow to about 24” tall. 70 days.

Heavenly Mustard Mix: A blend of mizuna, tatsoi and a variety of green and purple mustards. Find spicy and tender serrated, frilled, and lobed leaves to toss in your salads and stir-frys. Grow in closely spaced rows to cut for baby leaf salads, or thin the plants and allow them to mature big leaves for an attractive and colourful braising mix! 21 days to baby leaf ~35-40 days to maturity.

Hollow Crown Parsnip: This amazing root easily overwinters in the garden and can be eaten all winter long until it starts to bolt in the spring. A tasty parsnip with great texture and a wonderfully nutty flavour. 110 days to maturity.

Italian Dark Green Parsley CO: Italian flat leaf parsley with robust, long stems that can be harvested by the stem or knife-cut for bunching. More flavour than other varieties. Vigorous, erect plant produces flat, dark green leaves that are in vitamins A, and C as well as iron and minerals. Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting. Slow to germinate. Its very vigorous growth allows for multiple harvests over the summer, fall and into the winter.

King of the North Pepper CO: A great variety for short season growing. Produces good sized, red, bell shaped peppers on strong plants. 60 days green.

Lemon Cucumber CO: Long vines produce an abundance of lemon coloured round fruit. The fruit is sweet and never bitter and the skin is quite delicate when picked young. In our experience this variety tends to produce about 10% fasciated plants, with flattened vines and even higher fruit production.

Manitoba Tomato: Canadian heirloom that grows well in all conditions. Prolific bush type. Red, meaty and juicy fruit with rich tomato flavour. Vigorous determinate.

Oregon Spring Tomato: Early-maturing, medium-sized, determinate red tomato variety on a heavy-yielding compact plant. Released in 1984, this variety was bred by Dr. James Baggett at Oregon State University and is ideal for Pacific Northwest conditions. Oregon Spring is parthenocarpic, meaning it will set fruit without pollination. The unpollinated fruits are typically bigger than the pollinated fruits but contain no seeds - perfect for sauce!

Outredgeous Lettuce: One of the reddest Romaine's available! Thick, slightly ruffled, vibrant red leaves form a loose Romaine head. Fast growing and excellent in salad mixes. Good to harvest either as baby lettuce or at 25 cm head size.

Peppermint Stick Zinnia: Uniquely striped and flecked big colorful flowers in white, cream, yellow, and gold with no two blooms alike but all of them beautiful. Keep these flowers picked and they will grow to a height of about 30” and bloom all season long.

Purly Chives CO: Fresh green chives with a sweet onion flavour. Upright leaves form clusters that are easy to harvest from and erupt in beautiful and edible purple flowers. Perennial. They do well in moist conditions and can handle partial shade. An established plant can handle multiple harvests starting in early spring, switch to harvesting flowers in summer and use as beautiful garnishes, salad additions, or vinegar flavouring. Both leaves and flowers can be dried.

Rainbow Chard CO: Fast growing multi-coloured stems with large green and red leaves. All Seasons. Container friendly. Plant early direct or starts. 30 days to baby leaf, 60 days to maturity.
